Aya won the Miss Teen Earth 2015 crown, and Aya represented the country as the Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, becoming Dreamgirl of the Year International.
Aya is the founder of a sustainable social enterprise called Project Lily, which, according to one of her interviews, aims to “employ and provide employment to persons with disabilities (PWDs) to manufacture eco-friendly charcoal made from water hyacinth, coconut husk and other agroforestry.
This thesis-slash-passion project, which he funded using his own savings, eventually turned into a full-blown social enterprise and earned him one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Young Leaders in 2016 and one of Go Negosio’s Nominated as one of the youngest recipients of 2018.
